Season Cellars is a Southern Oregon winery founded in 2012 by Scott (IV) and Jennifer Henry. With a combined 60+ years of experience in the wine industry, they were ready to take their current website to the next level. The goals of this website was to increase their Wine Club subscriptions, online and in-person sales, and increase foot-traffic to their wine events.
Scott and Jennifer’s website was created with Google Sites previously. They faced issues with content management, functionality, and relevancy. Personally, I have not worked with Google Sites before, but it markets itself as a 100% free website creator for users. That also means it definitely has its limitations.
Season Cellars participates in local Oregon wine festivals pretty frequently. They tried to showcase that via Google Slides on the homepage, but as you can see there was a Google privacy issue (requiring a login for visitors to see). Also, the templates provided aren’t really customizable.
We had three goals for the new website: 1) redesign the website that best fits the tone of their brand and making it more user-friendly, 2) give users the ability to find Season Cellars wines near them, 3) increase their Wine Club membership subscriptions.
